Frida Kahlo Theme Original Painting

LORALAI Original Art
This Acrylics & Oils Artwork is something I developed from Alice in Wonderland's Queen of Hearts in a Casino like setting with Frida smoking a cigarette in a long holder, with the smoke linkering in the air to make numbers, and a playing card motif brought forward by the deep bright red background, where heart symbols have been sort of stamped into the color. This creates a nice texture for the foreground, which is very visible with the Oil pastel overlay. Frida's lips are shaped in a heart symbol, using my signature brilliant red hue.

Tree of Dreams

My job today was to come up with an Original Painting on the theme of the Mexican 'Tree of Life'. This is my 'Tree of Dreams'. Each set of similar objects represents a part of the Dream, an element like in Dreaming where, when asked to describe it, seems to change even as I try to focus on it.  As for the Mexican theme, I think I did what was honestly my Original work, without influence of any one Artist or preconceived idea, at least consciously. Though I Have looked at Mexican Folk Art in the past and thought it was extremely lovely and interesting.  The cat in the lower left is a print of my Original Painting called JOY, which i just posted today also.  So nice to be back to painting.
