NEW ART for POTOSA GALLERY !

Tuesday, January 5, 2010

The Kitchen Windowsill is a perfect place for displaying variety of plants and flowers. A rosebud could stand in a slender vase, right beside a sprig of ivy, a tomato seedling, or a Venus Fly Trap!  These 2 Art Cards (ACEO) are part of my Series called 'Kitchen Window'. My inspiration is easily seen all around the neighborhood, where a plethora of knick-knacks, potted plants, vases, keepsakes, family photos and more adorn each and every Kitchen Window.

These will  be available on ebay at member: FindFolkArt (FFA). Also, if you want to contact my email, I'm sure we can arrange a sale! ;)  Acrylics including metallics for extra shimmer, glass paint, ink and stamps are used to create these Canva-paper Originals.

Beeswax Collage

I am really happy with these beeswax collage artworks. Believe and Cherish are 9x12x1.5, Gallery Style, cotton duck stretched canvas, staple free construction. Layered art tissue, collage paper, stamps, sparkles, crushed seashells, and more! I really like these which is good because my Hubby the Canvas Stretcher would be ticked if he had to restretch these 2. 100% natural white beeswax.

Abstract FOLK ART Flowers

Let me tell you, these little doozies were ALOT harder to paint than I thought they'd be! Dont kids finger-paint flowers when they are like 4 years old? Well, kudos to the kiddos, because I felt like crying several times.  Then I got all flustered and wanted to give up and start a whole new canvas, so I pulled a new one out and promptly poked a big hole in it just trying to get the plastic packing off of it.  Luckily, my hubby was able to restretch a new canvas on the frame, so all was not lost.  But These may be the last of the Abstract Folk Flowers.  OK Maybe one more.
Then I'm painting another Mermaid for Amy.
