BOHEMIAN BLUE

Really felt like a mixed media, and I got a package in the mail

from one of my favorite artists

who lives near San Francisco

and sent Art Mags, papers, Travel, etc.

One of the papers is called the North Bay Bohemian.

The altered art I use in this creation is the cover

of one of the issues.

I love to use OOAK items in my collage.

Lots of pretty items in this one include some shiny violet fabric,

 a fringe of pearly hearts,

matching pearly buttons

and sheet metal - a find from Habitat for Humanity's ReSale

store.

This one has my signature Blue Kitty in his role as King.
Abstract background in many shades of Blue, a touch of sterling silver and a little Pearl too. Fabric paint adds more dimension. Metal triangles sprinkled over the background tie in the Crown  and 'robe' adornments!

A WALK IN THE PARK

Hello Everybody! I've a new painting in the Blue Cat Series - the title is A WALK IN THE PARK. I really felt like I Lived in this one for awhile. Took a walk along the water, enjoyed the view of the bridge, vaguely visible in the background. What I want to convey in this Blue Cat Series is a sense of having dreamt the whole thing - as if I knew this beautiful girl and her Blue Cat, and they were so very real, but then I awoke and realized it was all a Dream! My daughter says the girl looks like Audrey Hepburn.
